The Keewatin City Council approved paving the community center at a cost of $23,900 during a work session last week. The paving cost was the cheapest price available and the city found that doing the project this year instead of next would save on costs.
The council also approved all the slate of election judges for the upcoming political season.
The library will be losing an employee and two part-time workers will be filling the gap. One will work six hours per week, while the other employee will work seven hours per week.
A public hearing for the wastewater treatment plant was scheduled for Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. following the regular council meeting.
