On May 4, the regular meeting of Lone Pine Township Board of Supervisors was called to order by Chair Jon Korpi.
Community sewer around Swan Lake – Anderson attended the Goodland Supervisor’s Meeting in April. They reviewed the joint powers resolution of Keewatin, Nashwauk, Greenway and Lone Pine and will have it reviewed by their attorney. Itasca County has responded with letter for home owners regarding the status of their current individual sewage systems.
At the re-organization meeting it was agreed that Korpi will be Board Chairman, Leerssen will be Vice Chair. Meetings will be on the first Wednesday of the month with the Board of Audit held after the February meeting. American Bank will be the Township Financial Institute. Scenic Range NewsForum will be the township newspaper. The official posting locations will be the bulletin board at the town hall, the Sinclair Gas Station and the Pengilly Post Office.
Minnesota Energy will meet with the clerk on Friday, May 6 to discuss extending the natural gas line to the area. Anderson will attend.
Ball field portable toilet was delivered.
May 3 Board of Appeals had two requests for review, most properties went down in value. Korpi will check into dust control of the township roads.
Nashwauk library history will be reviewed.
