The regular meeting of Lone Pine Township Board of Supervisors was called to order at 6:37 p.m. on August 3, 2016. Members present were Jon Korpi, Stuart Leerssen, Michael Anderson, Karen Strege and Julie Jacobson.
Moved by Leerssen and seconded by Anderson to approve the July 6 minutes and the payment of claims and bills. The motion passed. The Treasurer’s report was distributed.
John Jamnick, JPJ Engineering was present to discuss the community sewer project around Swan Lake. Lone Pine will hold a public hearing to gather the population’s opinion on the proposed system on August 23 at 6:30 at the Hall. Notice will be put in the Scenic Range News Forum and posted. The project is waiting for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to review and respond to information sent to them.
Communications were reviewed.
Clerk will contact Nashwauk Fire Department to discuss the contract that expires in December.
Minnesota Association of Townships Insurance Trust will contact the board to set up a review and adjustment of property insurance policy.
Postcards sent to property owners to survey interest in natural gas have had 418 returned, with 196 yes to connect, 121 maybe, 73 no, 28 with nothing circled or returned as undeliverable.
