Matt Fultz is a lifetime resident of the Grand Rapids and Bovey area. Graduating from LeTourneau University in Longview, TX in 2005, Matt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science Flight Science. He is a commercial, instrument, multi engine pilot with tail-wheel endorsement and has over 1,368 hours of total flight time. He is a certified Airframe and Power-Plant (A&P) mechanic. He is a long-term member of the faith community of Solid Rock Church in LaPrairie, MN. He is a defender of the Constitution; and is a member of OathKeepers.org. He supports the NRA and the GOA (Gun Owners of America).
He has managerial experience in a variety of fields beginning in his young adulthood until now. He has led and managed the technical sound team at his church. He was the aircraft maintenance manager for Dynamic Aviation while working for the company in Florida, and also served in Tikrit, Iraq in 2007. While stationed there, he worked for Dynamic Aviation as an ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) pilot and mechanic assisting the US Army as a civilian contractor.
Presently, he is the proprietor of MF Solar and has been a Certified AMSOIL business dealer since 2005. He works full time with Boldt Construction at MN Power in Cohasset, MN with the new Retrofit Project.
He believes that running for the office of Itasca County Auditor would give him the opportunity to serve the taxpayers of Itasca County with transparency, honesty, integrity, and accountability. Transparency: that nothing done through the auditor’s office would be questionable if brought to full light. Honesty: that all questions are answered with openness and fairness and that honesty would come before political correctness. He has the integrity to manage the many responsibilities of the auditor’s office with accountability the same way he manages his private life and his business practices.
The primary election will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
