Full of youthful exuberance tempered by intelligence, our Andy is an approximately 2 yr. old male German Shepherd mix waiting for his forever home. Friendly and energetic, he’s ready for long walks, tons of playtime, and hours of devoted affection by your side. Andy has been working hard with Jamie from IRDTC to meet his full potential…and he’s really starting to shine! Why not give him a chance to brighten your home?
Perhaps they grace your life at this very moment. Stretched across your bed, your feet, or your lap. Gazing up at you with perfect love and perfect trust. Never judging, asking little, offering unconditional and constant devotion. Coaxing smiles and laughter from your lips or comforting you in moments of great sadness. Perhaps they are the only one you come home to, or they have adopted your whole family…determined to protect you and adore you for the entirety of their life. Perhaps you are left holding only their sweet memory. With one touch of their “precious paws” they become a part of our hearts forever. The people behind Precious Paws Humane Society love each and every one of the creatures that passes through our doors as if they were our own.
Precious Paws Humane Society is a no-kill shelter staffed entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to prevent and alleviate animal suffering through shelter, adoption, education, and community outreach; to support the enforcement of animal welfare laws and state statutes, and to strengthen the human/animal bond. We are contracted with the cities of Chisholm, Nashwauk, and Keewatin to provide a safe haven for lost, abandoned, abused or surrendered animals while they await an incredibly joyous reunion or the perfect love and perfect trust to be found within their first real home. We provide more than just food and shelter. During their time with us, our adoptees receive medical care, current vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, and above all…kindness and affection. As part of our mission, we sponsor community minded events such as rabies vaccination clinics; we also partner with Northland Spay and Neuter to offer affordable surgeries to pet owners.
Each and every one of us that gives of our time and talents to Precious Paws does so because we truly care about what happens to these animals. We fight to keep them healthy, we fight to keep them happy, and we fight to get them a good home. They are the first thing we think of in the morning and they are the last thing we think of at night. Whether your home is already blessed by the presence of a cherished companion, you wish it to be in the future, or you want to honor the memory of those who have touched your life before; we invite you to join us. We welcome all who love animals, and especially encourage the youth of our communities to discover the value of volunteerism. We pride ourselves on being YOUR local animal shelter, offering a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Stop by and let us introduce ourselves— our adorable adoptees always love visitors!
